i----love--you Tumblr is a gesture-based web page (platform) designed to honor various ‘fake’ objects that evoke fascination as well as pity and loathing, settling them into the eternal space of the web. Here, ‘fake’ refers to objects that imitate abstractions of the world—such as stars, love, sea, marriage, and the sky—and I specifically selected the cheapest among them to honor. This platform served as an archive to record private rituals with these objects and to shine a spotlight on them; it was also the place where I began to describe and practice digital drawings that synchronize with the emotions and affects triggered by these subjects. Meanwhile, this tool was built upon deep inspiration from a romantic relationship at the time. Because the love back then was so real, I felt I must carried those fake objects with me whenever i was with him.

This practice led directly to qmfforekdldkahsem.tumblr.com. Here, I select objects collected over time and record various performances and durations intended to blur their status with what is considered 'real' (nature, abstraction). Although the website was once hacked and the page is currently inaccessible, the video records from that time are preserved on my Vimeo channel.'Black Diamond' was inspired by a description of the writer Agota Kristof.
